MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a great and wonderful adventure that lived 14 big hearted trekkers from October 7th<\/sup> til October 21st<\/sup>, 2023. For 10 days (15 days total with trips), they walked more than 150 km in the Cretan mountains (Greece), in beautiful old landscapes little frequented in Crete, a beautiful sea of Libie, climbs and descents of 1000m under a blazing sun with significant gradients on rocky and unstable ground to raise an incredible sum of $ 93,595 for La Maison Aube-Lumi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A priceless gift of self, an unforgettable adventure. One step at a time, one day at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to our trekkers: Brigitte S\u00e9guin, \u00c9liane-Marie Gaulin, Fran\u00e7ois S\u00e9guin, Guylaine Cha\u00een\u00e9, Guylaine Tass\u00e9, Johanne Bibeau, Johanne Desrosiers, Jos\u00e9e Bouchard, Julie Lachance, Lynda Vall\u00e9e, Marie-Jos\u00e9e B\u00e9lainsky, Robert Hall, Sylvie Blais and our general manager Christian Gagnon for this EXTRAORDINARY RESULT!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the overall amount<\/strong> of $93,595<\/strong>, we would like to acknowledge the support of four other people who have mobilized to contribute to this magnificent result: $5,000<\/strong> was raised by a great walker for La Maison, Raymonde Br\u00e9maud<\/strong>, via a dynamic solicitation in the region. In addition, two other trekkers from previous editions, Lysianne Reula-Sheard and Marie-Jos\u00e9e Roy with their friend Ghislaine Leblond<\/strong>, organized a collection of cans and bottles and they succeeded, thanks to the generosity of Ayer\u2019s Cliff\u2019s March\u00e9 Tradition Patry, to raise $5,850<\/strong> for the 2023 trek group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the agency Karavaniers, our guides Alexandre and Julie, who took great care of our trekkers (euses). A HUGE THANK YOU to these 14 wonderful people who drew on their energy reserves to walk day after day, sharing the same goal, the well-being of our brave patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE 2021 TREK IN GASPESIE <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants of the 2021 Trek presented us with a symbolic cheque for $55,800, which enabled us to acquire 12 very comfortable armchairs for our patients’ rooms. The sum also allowed the purchase of a heart defibrillator for La Maison Aube-Lumi\u00e8re. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
