4th TREK for La Maison Aube-Lumière!
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
It is a great and wonderful adventure that lived 14 big hearted trekkers from October 7th til October 21st, 2023. For 10 days (15 days total with trips), they walked more than 150 km in the Cretan mountains (Greece), in beautiful old landscapes little frequented in Crete, a beautiful sea of Libie, climbs and descents of 1000m under a blazing sun with significant gradients on rocky and unstable ground to raise an incredible sum of $ 93,595 for La Maison Aube-Lumière.

Thanks to our trekkers: Brigitte Séguin, Éliane-Marie Gaulin, François Séguin, Guylaine Chaîné, Guylaine Tassé, Johanne Bibeau, Johanne Desrosiers, Josée Bouchard, Julie Lachance, Lynda Vallée, Marie-Josée Bélainsky, Robert Hall, Sylvie Blais and our general manager Christian Gagnon for this EXTRAORDINARY RESULT!
In the overall amount of $93,595, we would like to acknowledge the support of four other people who have mobilized to contribute to this magnificent result: $5,000 was raised by a great walker for La Maison, Raymonde Brémaud, via a dynamic solicitation in the region. In addition, two other trekkers from previous editions, Lysianne Reula-Sheard and Marie-Josée Roy with their friend Ghislaine Leblond, organized a collection of cans and bottles and they succeeded, thanks to the generosity of Ayer’s Cliff’s Marché Tradition Patry, to raise $5,850 for the 2023 trek group.
Thanks to the agency Karavaniers, our guides Alexandre and Julie, who took great care of our trekkers (euses). A HUGE THANK YOU to these 14 wonderful people who drew on their energy reserves to walk day after day, sharing the same goal, the well-being of our brave patients.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE 2021 TREK IN GASPESIE
The participants of the 2021 Trek presented us with a symbolic cheque for $55,800, which enabled us to acquire 12 very comfortable armchairs for our patients’ rooms. The sum also allowed the purchase of a heart defibrillator for La Maison Aube-Lumière.

The first three Aube-Lumière treks (in Mont-Blanc, Peru and Gaspésie) raised $187,000 to improve FREE accommodation and care for people with advanced cancer. It’s a wonderful opportunity to live a unique experience and make wonderful memories, while supporting a great cause!
